Day Nine - The Tournament

We began the camp tournament today, and were so proud of our students for not only having full-length debates, but speaking well and with confidence! It's great to see the extent to which they've improved over the course of the camp.

Tomorrow, we will have a final debate with two teams at approximately 2pm in the science building. Parents are welcome to attend! After the final round ends, we will hold an awards ceremony, then offer time to meet with parents one-on-one to discuss their children's progress. We will be sending a feedback form to both parents and students asking to hear their thoughts on our camp this year. We welcome both positive feedback and constructive criticism; we want to make sure we provide students with the best possible experience this year and in years beyond. If you had a particularly enjoyable experience and would like to offer a written or in-person testimonial, let us know; we can do the latter tomorrow in person near the end of the day.

We will also be providing food for students tomorrow, so there is no need to pack your child a lunch. We will be having pizza and assorted desserts. We gave students Lexington Debate Institute t-shirts, which they are encouraged to wear tomorrow for our group picture.

Looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow!
